Important information about using We Courier It services

Please read these terms carefully before booking your courier

By using We Courier It services — whether online, via WhatsApp or by any other means — you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Acceptance of Terms

By using We Courier It’s services — whether online, via WhatsApp, email, or in person — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all bookings made through any channel including our website, WhatsApp, and telephone.

Services Provided

We Courier It offers courier and parcel delivery services within South Africa. Our services include:

  • Economy courier (standard delivery)
  • OVN / Overnight courier
  • Same-day delivery (where available)
  • Door-to-door collections and deliveries

Service availability may vary by area. Contact us on WhatsApp for confirmation in your region.

Booking & Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from We Courier It via WhatsApp or email. Until confirmation is received, no collection or delivery commitment exists.

  • Provide accurate sender and recipient details
  • Ensure parcel is properly packaged before collection
  • Be available at the collection address at the agreed time

We Courier It is not liable for delays caused by incorrect address details or non-availability at collection.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

  • Economy Courier: from R128 (Local Gauteng)
  • OVN / Overnight: WhatsApp for pricing
  • Fuel surcharges or remote area surcharges may apply
  • Final quotes are confirmed before booking is processed

Payment is required before collection unless a credit account arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Prices are subject to change without notice. Your confirmed quote will always be honoured.

Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from being sent via We Courier It:

  • Illegal substances or contraband
  • Firearms, ammunition, and weapons
  • Flammable, hazardous, or toxic materials
  • Perishable foods (unless specifically arranged)
  • Live animals
  • Cash, coins, and bearer instruments
  • Items of extraordinary value without prior written arrangement

Sending prohibited items is a criminal offence and We Courier It will report any suspected illegal activity to authorities.

Liability & Claims

We Courier It does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or theft of parcels in transit. By making use of our courier service, the client acknowledges and agrees that all shipments are sent entirely at the sender’s own risk.

We Courier It is not liable for:

  • Any loss, damage, or theft of parcels, whether in transit or during collection or delivery
  • Indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or business opportunity
  • Delays caused by third-party couriers, road conditions, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Damage resulting from improper or inadequate packaging by the sender

Insurance: Parcel insurance is not included in the standard courier fee. Clients are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance cover for valuable or fragile items. We Courier It can assist in sourcing insurance — please request this at the time of booking.

Packaging Requirements

The sender is responsible for ensuring all parcels are properly packaged. We Courier It reserves the right to refuse collection of any parcel deemed inadequately packaged.

  • Use sturdy, sealed boxes for fragile items
  • Wrap fragile contents in bubble wrap or padding
  • Clearly label the parcel with recipient name and address
  • Do not overfill boxes to the point of bulging

Delivery Timeframes

Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Factors that may affect delivery times include:

  • Public holidays and weekends
  • Remote or outlying areas
  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Incorrect address information
  • Recipient unavailability

We Courier It is not responsible for any losses arising from delayed delivery beyond estimated timeframes.

Undeliverable Parcels

If a parcel cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address, recipient unavailability, or refusal of delivery, the following will apply:

  • A re-delivery fee will be charged for a second attempt
  • After 3 failed delivery attempts, the parcel will be held for 5 business days
  • Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender at the sender’s cost
  • We Courier It is not liable for any losses resulting from undeliverable parcels

Privacy & Data

We Courier It collects personal information solely for the purpose of processing and delivering your parcels. Your information will not be shared with third parties except:

  • Where required by law
  • With courier partners necessary to complete delivery
  • With your explicit written consent

By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

We do not store credit card details. Payment information is handled securely by approved payment processors.

Complaints & Disputes

We Courier It is committed to resolving complaints quickly and fairly. If you have a complaint:

  • Contact us on WhatsApp: 082 469 8880 within 48 hours
  • Email: couriers@wecourierit.co.za
  • We will acknowledge your complaint within 1 business day
  • Resolution will be provided within 5 business days

Disputes that cannot be resolved directly will be referred to a mutually agreed mediator before any legal action is taken.

Changes to These Terms

We Courier It reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on our website.

It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We Courier It operates in full compliance with applicable South African legislation including:

  • Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA)
  • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
