Packaging Guide

Pack your parcel properly before collection to help protect your goods during transport.

Your parcel may be handled several times from collection to delivery. Good packaging helps reduce the risk of damage, delays and failed delivery.

Choose packaging that fits your item properly. The parcel should not be too tight, but it should also not have too much empty space inside.

For heavier goods, use a strong double-wall box where possible. Lightweight but bulky goods should be placed in a larger carton with enough internal protection.

Avoid using:

  • Damaged boxes
  • Weak or flimsy cartons
  • Old fruit boxes
  • Cereal boxes
  • Thin supermarket boxes
  • Packaging that has lost its shape

If the parcel is heavy, do not overload one box. Rather split it into smaller parcels where possible.

Important: For safety reasons, parcels must be liftable and manageable by one person. If a parcel is too heavy, it may need to be repacked into smaller packages.

Your parcel may be handled multiple times during collection, sorting and delivery. This is why secure packaging is important.

Packaging tips:

  • Wrap each item individually
  • Use bubble wrap, foam, cardboard inserts or other cushioning
  • Fill empty spaces inside the box so items cannot move around
  • Do not overpack the box
  • Use a strong outer carton
  • Seal all openings properly with strong packaging tape

For fragile goods:

  • Use extra cushioning on all sides
  • Make sure items cannot touch the outer edges of the box
  • Clearly mark the parcel as FRAGILE

Avoid using newspaper or loose paper as the only protection, especially for breakable or delicate items.

Before collection, make sure your parcel details are clear and correct.

Your parcel should include:

  • Sender name
  • Sender contact number
  • Collection address
  • Receiver name
  • Receiver contact number
  • Delivery address
  • Number of parcels
  • Approximate weight
  • Parcel dimensions
  • Service type required: Economy or OVN

If reusing an old box:

  • Remove old labels
  • Remove old barcodes
  • Remove old delivery stickers

For fragile parcels:

Clearly write FRAGILE on the box or use fragile tape.

Tip: Place a copy of the receiver details inside the parcel as well, in case the outer label is damaged during transport.
